Mr. Barbeau has become a recognized thought leader for the
mobile industry. His roadmap to this intellectual intersection is marked
by his vision in pioneering integrated direct marketing services,

Alan Bullock

As Associate Director of the Internet Imaging Trends service, Alan
Bullock focuses on the online photo services market, as well as wireless
imaging and the camera phone market, in addition to other technologies
combining images and the Internet or intranets. He produces market
forecasts, conducts end-user studies, and identifies industry trends.
Alan joins InfoTrends after nearly twenty-five years with Eastman Kodak
Company and its photofinishing subsidiary, Qualex Inc. In his last
position, as Minilab Operations Manager for Kodak's Americas Region, he
worked closely with equipment manufacturers such as Noritsu and KIS/Photo-Me
and national and regional retailers such as Rite Aid, CVS, Albertsons,
Best Buy and Wegmans to implement digital and traditional photo printing
and related services. He has been involved in the sales and marketing of
digital cameras and inkjet, laser, and thermal dye printers.
Robert Carter
Senior Director of Product Management, KODAK Gallery
As Senior Director of Product Management for
KODAK Gallery, Robert is responsible for developing the company’s
roadmap and overseeing delivery of new products and services. Carter
and his team also focus on leveraging new technologies to broaden
Gallery’s reach and connectivity to social networking sites, community
channels and mobile platforms. He also manages the development of
commerce APIs that are used by partner sites offering Gallery products
to their users.
Prior to his arrival at KODAK Gallery, Robert held various positions in
Product Development and Management at companies such as Salesforce.com,
Gap Inc., Amazon.com and Microsoft among others.
Robert holds a Master of Science in Energy Management and Policy from

Prior to Phanfare, Andrew Erlichson was CEO & co-founder of Flashbase,
which was acquired by DoubleClick in 2000. At DoubleClick, he was Vice
President of Technology for the Research and Development Group. He has
worked at Mips Computer Systems, Silicon Graphics and BlackRock
Financial Management. Andrew Erlichson received his AB from Dartmouth
College and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford
University.
Art Garcia

Art Garcia has an extensive and broad-based mobile & wireless
background. His current role is within HP’s Imaging & Printing Group as
the senior mobile marketing strategist & portfolio lead. This role
includes leadership and delivery of the pan-business unit mobile
solution strategy, mobile product portfolio management, and program
management.
Art’s mobile applications have generated significant user downloads and
have been recognized as an “Innovative Digital Product” by DIMA at PMA,
spring 2009. The 2009 HP Circle Awards have recognized his mobile
applications as “Best in Show” and best in the category of “Best User
Interface Experience.”
Art has spoken at multiple industry conferences including Future Image’s

His past roles have included future product strategy development,
America’s region business development for handheld computing devices and
enterprise servers, printer product management, mobile device channel

Kevin Gilbert

Kevin T Gilbert is an award-winning photojournalist, teacher,
entrepreneur, and digital photography evangelist based in Annapolis,
Maryland.
For over 25 years, Kevin has been shooting news and features of the
world, from the White House to halls of Capitol Hill, Super Bowls to
Superpower Summits, from the mud of the Kentucky horse tracks to the
back lot sets of TV’s biggest reality shows.
Kevin has been elected 6 times as President of the White House News
Photographers Association and won over 40 awards in the annual Eyes of
History photo contests. During his time on the streets of DC, he has
photographed four sitting Presidents, as well as two fictional
Presidents during a stint shooting on The West Wing television show for
NBC.
In 1997, Kevin hooked up with reality television super producer Mark
Burnett, and has shot over 20 television productions including The
Apprentice, Eco-Challenge, The Contender, Rock Star INXS, and others. He
complimented his reality television work, becoming the first contract
still photographer Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and TLC.
Kevin has shot over one million digital files since his early days in
digital on the Presidential campaign in 1996. He has shot in 55
countries and shot and tested over 100 digital cameras.
A leading voice for the power and emotion of photography, Kevin is the
CEO and founder, of Blue Pixel, one of the country’s digital creative
groups, and consults for the biggest names in retail, computers,
software and camera manufacturing.
Whether he is with The Donald, The President, The cranky reality TV
star, or just The kid selling shoe shines on the streets of Hanoi, Kevin
can always be found having fun with cameras, helping others to achieve
success in photography, chasing the light, and enjoying the moment, one
frame at a time.
Jerry Grossman
Editor-in-Chief, Photo Industry
Jerry Grossman has been in the marketing/advertising arena for over 25
years, and involved in the imaging industry since 1988.
He began in the advertising business, working at DMB&B, Ammirati & Puris
and Scali, McCabe Sloves, on a variety of packaged goods and consumer
electronics accounts, including the Nikon account. He joined Nikon as
director of advertising in 1993 and held successive marketing positions
at Nikon, including Vice President of Internet Development, where he
launched Nikon’s original websites, Nikonusa.com and NikonNet, among the
first photo sharing sites on the web. Following this, he was named Vice
President of Marketing for all consumer products, where he was
responsible for bringing Nikon from the analog to the digital world.
An avid photo enthusiast, Jerry acquired Photo Industry Reporter with
Alan Levine in April 2005, with the goal of creating an indispensable
publication for the photo industry. Currently, Photo Industry Reporter
is the leading trade publication in the imaging industry. The companion
website, photoreporter.com, was launched in October 2005.
Jerry also created Demystifying Digital magazine, a quarterly insert in
USA Today dedicated to making sense of today’s technology, as well as
demystifyingdigital.com, a consumer targeted website that offers reviews
and helpful hints to “all things digital.” The site was launched in
2007, and has become a premiere destination in the CE space.
Jerry serves as editor in chief for Photo Industry Reporter and
photoreporter.com and is editorial director of Demystifying Digital
magazine and demystifyingdigital.com
In January 2009, Jerry was elected President of the PhotoImaging
Manufacturer’s and Distributor’s Association (PMDA), and has since
spearheaded the charge to re-invent this 70 year-old association. In
February, the PMDA launched the PMDA/Soldier’s Angel’s Portraits of Love
Project, with the goal of sending 10,000 portraits of US Soldier’s
families to deployed soldiers during the 2009 Holiday Season.
Matthew Growney

Matthew is Founder & CEO of Isabella Products, a revolutionary new
company focused on delivering mobile Internet devices and services.
Matthew has become a successful entrepreneur and investor for his
understanding of the consumer marketplace. In October 2007, he launched

Kyle
Hall
Chief Executive Officer, Director, PNI Media
Kyle Hall is the CEO of PNI, the leading innovator of Online Digital
Media solutions for retailers such as Costco, Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart CA
and CVS/pharmacy.
Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Mr. Hall had a natural talent for
sports. His pursuit of a sports career led him to The University of
Western Ontario whereby he studied Science while also starring in
Football and Track. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in
Zoology, Mr. Hall was drafted to play professional football in the
Canadian Football League. He played for six years with the Ottawa Rough
Riders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Mr. Hall “retired” from football in 1993 to pursue a career in the high
tech industry. Over the next few years Mr. Hall led the sales and
marketing for innovative imaging companies including Telepix Imaging,
MGI Software and Corel Corporation.
In September 2000, Mr. Hall was given an opportunity to join a small,
dynamic technology company, PNI. Since joining the company, Mr. Hall has
been responsible for the foresight and vision, as well as the sales and
marketing of the online image printing and messaging services which have
been central to the success of PNI.
On October 1, 2008, Mr. Hall assumed the role of CEO of PNI. In this
role he actively leads all key management and strategic decisions at PNI
and plays an important role in the development of new products and
services. A significant portion of his time is devoted to meeting with
customers and staying in contact with clients and investors around the
world.
Mr. Hall joined PNI's Board of Directors in March 2009.
Mr. Hall’s vision and business development acumen has positioned PNI as
the leader in providing retailers with online image printing, kiosk and
messaging services.
David
Haueter
Associate Director, InfoTrends
David Haueter is Associate Director of InfoTrends’ Photo Printing Trends
and Photo Merchandise Trends services. His responsibilities include
product coverage, trend analysis, primary market research, and gathering
forecast data for the photo print and photo merchandise markets. Prior
to joining InfoTrends, Mr. Haueter acted as Principal Analyst for the
Digital Documents & Imaging group at Gartner. In this role, he focused
on digital camera, photo printing, inkjet printer, and multifunction
product markets. Mr. Haueter has also held several marketing positions
with Sharp Electronics Corporation where he worked for six years. Mr.
Haueter began his career at Xerox Business Services where he worked in
various positions, including Account Executive and Site Manager. Mr.
Haueter received a B.A. in English from Nyack College and also an MBA in
Marketing from Pace University. In his spare time, Mr. Haueter is an
avid photographer and has had his photos published in several automotive
publications.
Jeff Hayes

Jeff Hayes has conducted numerous strategic market and product planning
assignments for leading firms in the consumer imaging, office equipment,
and production printing industries. Prior to joining InfoTrends, Hayes
was the Director of Electronic Imaging Consulting at BIS Strategic
Decisions. With experience in defining new business opportunities and
applications for consumer electronics, document solutions, and related
services, Hayes has provided research and analysis for Adobe Systems,
Canon, Eastman Kodak, Hewlett Packard, IBM, International Paper,
Lexmark, Ricoh, Sony, Toshiba, Xerox and other industry leaders. Hayes
has extensive experience conducting primary research on customer
requirements, determining the market potential for new printing and
imaging products, and managing large, research-intensive projects. Mr.
Hayes graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from the University
of Massachusetts.
Rob Hruska

Rob Hruska is the Sr. Product Marketing Manager at NewBay Software - the
leader in digital lifestyle solutions for operators - and is responsible
for product positioning, global product marketing and communications.
Rob develops partnerships with wireless and converged network operators,
as well as social media companies, to develop world-class cloud-centered
software products and services. He has been with NewBay since May, 2008.
Prior to joining NewBay, Rob spent 8 years as a product manager at
Rhapsody and RealNetworks building cutting-edge mobile media

James Joaquin is a seasoned entrepreneur with 25 years of experience
building and growing consumer technology companies. As a Macintosh
programmer in the 1980’s, James co-founded Clearview Software while
still a computer science student at Brown University. The applications
company was acquired by Apple’s Claris division and James later spent
six years with Apple in engineering, product marketing, and business
development management roles.
James also co-founded When.com, an Internet calendar and events service
that was acquired by America Online, and was a founding investor,
President and CEO of Ofoto, the leading online photo sharing and
printing service. James led the Ofoto team from the company’s early
beginnings through the successful sale to the Eastman Kodak Company.
James then ran Ofoto as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kodak, expanding
the service beyond the United States into Europe, China, and Japan.
More recently James served as a Venture Partner at Bridgescale, a growth
equity investment firm. Currently James is the President & CEO of Xmarks,
a web guide that helps consumers discover the best sites on the
Internet. James also serves on the board of Ritz Interactive and is the
Chairman of Pixelpipe, a social web gateway enabling consumers to
effortlessly share media across a multitude of web social networks,
photo and video services.
Yuval
Koren
Chief Product Officer (Founder), Eye-Fi
Yuval brings more than a decade of system design and leadership
experience to his current role, having delivered successful products
into the high-performance computing and carrier-class networking
markets. Prior to co-founding Eye-Fi, he was a technical leader within
the carrier-class routing group at Cisco Systems. Yuval joined Cisco as
part of its acquisition of Growth Networks, where his focus was on the
line card interface for Growth’s terabit scale, multiservice switch
fabric.
Previously, Yuval was involved in the development of two generations of
scaleable server systems at Silicon Graphics. He was the lead
verification engineer for the Origin routing fabric and the SPIDER
routing ASIC upon which it was based.
Yuval received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and
computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a
master’s in electrical engineering from Stanford University, where he
was a Stanford Graduate Fellow. He holds several patents in computer
system architecture.

Mr. Lacagnina is founder and President & CEO of ColorCentric Corp.
ColorCentric is a leading provider of a digital printing operating
system (DPOS) and digital production system (DPS) that enables its’
customers to deliver over 200 different printed products from their
unique content in a quantity of one under their brand.
The ColorCentric software/hardware platform allows their customers to
leverage their own brand, customer base and supply chain to provide
incremental revenue at high margins with virtually no investment.
The mission of ColorCentric is to be the back-end provider for any
printed product such that their customer can both focus on their
strengths while leveraging their brand to provide additional products
through their supply chain.
Before ColorCentric, Mr. Lacagnina co-founded and was President and CEO
of Electronic Demand Publishing, Inc. (EDP) in 1992. Mr. Lacagnina led
its’ growth to a multi-national document management company with 5
manufacturing facilities in the USA and 1 in Europe. Kinko’s acquired
Electronic Demand Publishing in March 1997 and changed its name to
Corporate Document Solutions, a division of Kinko's.
Prior to founding EDP, Mr. Lacagnina founded Entire, Inc. Entire
developed the “worlds first” Postscript RIP and still provides print
server solutions today. Mr. Lacagnina also founded Quality Measurements
Systems and Excel Information Systems. Quality Measurements Systems was
also awarded with the “worlds’ first” for the design and development of
the worlds’ first portable digital micrometer in 1976. He has over 34
years experience in the computer industry and 22 years in the digital
printing business. He holds patents in color xerography, digital
measurement systems and digital laser measuring devices.
Mr. Lacagnina graduated with a BS degree Electrical Engineering, Cum
laude, from Rochester Institute of Technology, where he served on the
Board of Trustees from 1986 -1995, and was president of the 85,000
member National Alumni Association. Mr. Lacagnina currently serves on
the boards of other high-technology companies and has presented at many
international conferences on document management and demand printing
technologies. In 2001, Mr. Lacagnina was selected as one of twenty
“Innovators” of Upstate New York to be part of the “Upstate Alliance for
Innovation”.
Rowan Lawson
Director Worldwide Marketing, Retail Systems Solutions, Consumer Digital
Group Eastman Kodak Company
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Rowan Lawson studied Industrial
Engineering with a focus on Physics, Industrial Chemistry and Computing,
and in 1988 joined Kodak Australia Pty. Ltd. Rowan joined Kodak’s
Digital & Applied Imaging division in 1996 and established the consumer
CD-Recordable media and hardware business for the Greater Asia region,
achieving number one market share across the region. In 1999 Rowan
became the Asia Pacific Regional General Business Manager, and in 2000,
he became Worldwide Marketing Manager, CD-Recordable products. In 2002
he became the Director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Kodak’s
digital businesses. In 2004 he was the General Manager for Home Printing
Systems and in 2006 he became the Director of Worldwide Marketing for
the Kodak’s Retail Systems Solutions group, responsible for Kodak’s
Picture Kiosk. In 2008 he launched Kodak’s Adaptive Picture Exchange dry
lab system, to rave reviews.
Ed Lee
Group Director, InfoTrends
Ed Lee is the Group Director of InfoTrends' Worldwide Consumer Imaging
Services. In this role, he oversees the company's coverage of all
activities in areas related to consumer imaging and digital photography,
including digital cameras, camera phones, photo software, photo
printing, and online photo services. Each service produces annual
forecasts and industry trends analysis reports and conducts numerous
primary end-user research studies throughout the year. Mr. Lee has
extensive imaging industry experience, particularly in the areas of
digital photography and electronic printing, which he acquired through
tenures with Lyra Research, Xerox Corporation, and Eastman Kodak
Company.
Bing Liem
Vice President, Sales, Imaging Division, Fujifilm U.S.A., Inc.
Bing Liem is Vice President, Sales, for the Imaging Division of Fujifilm
U.S.A., Inc., the photographic imaging systems and services operation of
Fujifilm in the U.S. Liem oversees all Retail Imaging Solutions and
Professional and Special Markets sales activities.
Since joining Fujifilm in 2006, Liem has played an integral role in
cultivating relationships with some of the nation’s most influential
imaging professionals, securing Fujifilm’s position as a market leader
in the imaging space.
Prior to joining Fujifilm, Liem worked for AgfaPhoto North America,
where he served as President and CEO from 2001 in addition to holding
various other senior level positions in sales, marketing, and operations
during his 22 year career with Agfa.
Liem holds a BA from the Rochester Institute of Technology and lives
with his wife and two daughters in Connecticut
Kalle Marsal
Director of Product Management, Retail Publishing Solutions, Inkjet and
Web Solutions Business, Hewlett-Packard Company
Kalle Marsal is the director of product management for the Retail
Publishing Solutions business within HP’s Inkjet and Web Solutions
organization. HP Retail Publishing Solutions enable retailers to
transform their traditional in-store photo labs into profitable
publishing centers by leveraging a broad portfolio of hardware, software,
services and product-merchandising assets.
Marsal joined HP in 2002 and has 12 years of marketing, technology
entrepreneurship, venture capital and general management experience in
digital imaging, telecommunications and other high-technology
industries. Marsal is credited with leading the marketing and strategy
efforts for HP’s entry into the retail publishing business in 2006, and
prior to his current role, he drove strategy and business development
for HP’s new business ventures organization, focusing on digital
photography, software and services.
Before joining HP, Marsal worked for several years as a general manager
and venture capital executive, focusing on wireless technology and
high-tech ventures. His past experience also includes serving as a
senior consultant for Bain & Company, a major strategy consulting firm,
leading consulting teams on projects for many Fortune 500 and
early-stage companies in telecommunications and high-tech industries.
Additionally, Marsal held several positions in product management, sales
and marketing within the bio-tech and medical technology industries.
Marsal has a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford
University Graduate School of Business where he was honored as an Arjay
Miller Scholar. He also holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree of
science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
Kimberly Miller
Vice President, Marketing & Merchandising, Retail Publishing Solutions,
HP
Kim Miller is the Vice President, Marketing & Merchandising for HP’s
Retail Publishing Solutions business within HP’s Inkjet and Web
Solutions organization. HP Retail Publishing Solutions enable retailers
to transform their traditional in-store photo labs into profitable
publishing centers leveraging a broad portfolio of hardware, software,
services and product-merchandising assets.
Miller joined HP in 2006 and prior to her current role, she served as
the vice president of marketing for HP’s US direct-to-consumer business.
Before joining HP Miller served a variety of roles at Macy’s for 12
years, including the Vice President of Internet Strategy for Macys.com
where she was responsible for ongoing site development, marketing and
partnership strategies for the site. Miller is also credited with being
one of the founding partners of macys.com for Federated Department
stores. Prior to Macy’s she help key merchandising positions at Vogue
Magazine and Marshall Field’s.
Miller earned her BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
Gene Ornstead

Gene Ornstead has over 25 years of hi-tech marketing and product
management experience and is currently responsible for the development

Signage products and solutions.
Prior to joining ViewSonic in 1999, Ornstead was the vice president of
Worldwide Marketing and Business Development for CalComp, a Lockheed
Martin Company responsible for long and short term product development
strategies. In this role, he directed business development strategies,
market opportunities, product descriptions and technology requirements
in support of the company’s growth plans.
While at Conrac Corporation, Ornstead was directly responsible for the
marketing and sales of all video technology products as Director of the
division. Ornstead established Conrac as the leading supplier of
broadcast video monitors in North America and grew the company’s
revenues from $30M to over $60M in two years. Ornstead received a degree
in Electronic Engineering from Mt. San Antonio College and a BS in
Business from University of LaVerne.
Gary Pageau
Marketing research, industry trends and the photo/imaging industry, PMA
Gary Pageau is Group Executive, Content Development and Strategic
Initiatives. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the
Association’s editorial department, marketing research unit internet
publishing department and new ventures.
The PMA marketing research unit conducts both industry and consumer
research in the field of photo/imaging. Published reports include the
annual Industry Trends Report (now in three editions) and the annual
Consumer Photo Buying Report.
Rick Patch,
President and CEO
Rick is a pioneering software executive and entrepreneur with over 25
years experience in information technology and in building early-stage
companies. Rick was a founding member and former President of Micro
Decisionware Inc., a successful VC-backed company that was ultimately
sold to Sybase Inc. Rick was also a founding partner at Sequel Venture
Partners, a venture capital firm with over $400M in assets. As part of
Sequel, Rick invested in and built numerous successful Internet and
Enterprise software companies. Some examples include MatchLogic
(acquired by Excite), Dante (acquired by WebMethods), Service Magic
(acquired by IAC), Bid4Vacations (acquired by I.C.E.), and BlueCurve
(acquired by Red Hat Inc.).
Peter Pezaris
Founder and CEO
Peter is in charge of all product development and strategic direction of
the company. Prior to Multiply, Peter served as CBS SportsLine.com's
President of Operations and Product Development where he was responsible
for technology and computer operations as well as programming and
production. In this role, Peter oversaw the operations of nfl.com,
pgatour.com, cbs.sportsline.com, and mvp.com, which serve billions of
pages annually to tens of millions of customers. In 2003, Peter was
named to the Sports Business Journal's "Forty Under 40" list, which
recognizes the most promising young executives in the sports business.
Peter joined SportsLine when it acquired DWWC. Prior to DWWC, Peter was
a systems and software developer for the investment banking firms of
Bankers Trust and Salomon Brothers.
Jan Piros
Product Management, Corel
Jan Piros is responsible for product management with Corel's digital
media software portfolio. With 20 years in digital media, Jan has
extensive experience in video, photo and graphics hardware and software
working for companies including Corel, Miro, Canopus (Thompson),
Pinnacle and Avid. Through his career in product management, he has been
responsible for digital media tools designed for everyone from the
everyday family photographer to professional video editors.
Anderson
Schoenrock
CEO & Co-founder, ScanDigital
Anderson Schoenrock, CEO & Co-founder of ScanDigital, brings a diverse
background in business, management and finance to the company, which
specializes in converting old photos and home movies to digital format.
Prior to co-founding ScanDigital, he was the Vice President and
Co-Founder of a boutique investment banking firm, Zietsman Realty
Partners (ZRP). At ZRP, he directly oversaw more than $600 million in
transactions and worked with some of the most respected investment firms
in the world. After building a successful platform, ZRP was acquired by
Jones Lang LaSalle in late 2006. Previously, Anderson held a variety of
positions at Lehman Brothers within both the investment banking and
private equity divisions. Anderson is a graduate of Dartmouth College
with a B.A. in History.
Rob Shadowens
Senior Photo and Communications Buyer, Meijer Inc.
Rob is responsible for Photo Imaging area at Meijer Inc., a 190 store
Midwest mass merchant chain. He has had responsibility overseeing the
photo imaging area since May, 1991.
Kirk Sidley
President, N &S Photo
Kirk started in the photo business in 1972 with King Size Photo, a retail
and wholesale photofinisher. He became CEO in 1981 and sold the business
in 1985. In 1985 Kirk founded N & S Photo which became a chain of 7
retail camera stores and one hour labs. Also in 1985 Kirk co-founded
Crown Photo Systems which became the largest maker of film sleeving
equipment and products in the world. Kirk has served on the PMA Board
since 1999 and was President from 2004-2005. He is currently Chairman of the
Board of IPI (Independent Photo Imagers) which has 550 members worldwide
and over 700 store fronts.
Rafael Soltero
General Manager Marketing Support Division of International Sales,
Noritsu Koki Co., LTD
Rafael was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He moved to Rochester, New
York in 1979 after completing a BS in Chemical Engineering from the
University of Puerto Rico. In 1990 he completed an MBA in Finance from
the Rochester Institute of Technology. Rafael worked for Eastman Kodak
Company for 26 years in various positions including: product, development
and marketing and sales of consumer imaging products. In 2005 he joined KIS
Photo-ME as VP of Sales and Marketing for the Americas Region. In 2007
he joined the International Sales Division of Noritsu Koki Corporation
with a focus on Iberia and Latin America.
Mike Sonders,
Product Management, Motion DSP
Mike has ten years of experience in product and technology management
and has launched products at startups and Fortune 500 firms. In 2006, he
received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at Berkeley, where he
won Apple's first annual marketing and technology case competition. He
has consulted on product development with companies including LucasArts,
Ubisoft, and Aliph.
Sean Varah
CEO, Motion DSP
Sean is CEO and founder of MotionDSP and has worked on both sides of the
table in venture capital. Prior to MotionDSP, he was co-founder and COO
of Q Media Partners, a television development company which worked with
HBO and ABC television. He was integrally involved with Sony Music’s 550
Digital Media Ventures which invested in Keyhole Inc., which was
acquired by Google and is now Google Earth.
Sean was also an award-winning composer and Lecturer in Music at Harvard
University, where he built Harvard’s first computer music facility. Dr.
Varah received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a
doctorate from Columbia University.
Erik Weitzman
Senior Director of Products and Services Strategy, Shutterfly
Erik Weitzman is Senior Director of Products and Services Strategy,
responsible for evaluating and developing new lines of business for
Shutterfly. Erik joined Shutterfly in 1999 and has led development of a
broad set of Shutterfly services-including several generations of
Shutterfly’s software and upload tools and Shutterfly’s award-winning
Collections service. Most recently, Erik developed a strategy for the
next generation of online sharing services for Shutterfly, which
resulted in the acquisition of Nexo Systems and the creation of
Shutterfly’s Share Sites service. Erik managed the launch of Share Sites
and helped grow the service to more than one million sites in one year.
Prior to Shutterfly, Erik was a consultant with Bain & Company. Erik
began his career working in product development and strategic alliances
at Sanyo Electric in Osaka, Japan and is fluent in Japanese.
Erik earned his BA from Harvard College and his MBA from Stanford
University. In his free time, Erik enjoys running after his three-year
old son and trying to capture him on video with a Sony Cyber-shot
DSC-T100 while his wife takes still pictures with their Nikon D-40.

Laura Yecies
CEO, Sharpcast Inc.
Laura Yecies, Chief Executive Officer at Sharpcast Inc., makers of the
award-winning SugarSync online data back-up and storage, syncing and
file sharing service, is a consumer software and Internet services
industry veteran with two decades of experience leading top consumer
brands such as ZoneAlarm, Yahoo and Netscape.
Yecies joined Sharpcast in Q4 2008 to expand the company and initiate an
aggressive business and product growth phase. Most recently, Yecies was
General Manager of the ZoneAlarm consumer and small business division at
Check Point Software, responsible for all facets of business
development, marketing, sales, and product. She led key initiatives to
drive ZoneAlarm's technology vision and significantly increase brand
awareness.
Previously, at Yahoo, Yecies served as General Manager of the Yahoo Mail
division. Earlier, Yecies was Vice President of the Netscape browser
division at AOL. Prior to Netscape, she was charged with developing the
market entry strategy for Informix Software Corp. in Latin America.
Additionally, Yecies served as Director of Marketing Programs for the
Asia Pacific Latin America region at Gupta Corporation.
Yecies received her M.B.A. from Harvard, plus an M.S.F.S. from
Georgetown School of Foreign Service where she graduated with honors in
International Business Diplomacy. She received her A.B. Magna Cum Laude
in Government from Dartmouth and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She has
been on staff as a lecturer for International Marketing at Santa Clara
University, and serves on the Board of several community non-profit
organizations. She has lived in Brazil, Venezuela, England and France
and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and French.
