Lynne Andrews
Variable Color Market Manager, RR Donnelley

Lynne Andrews has worked for 20 years in the printing industry, with experiences in color proofing, digital printing and conventional offset. Prior to joining RR Donnelley, she managed commercial print prepress departments and taught computer graphics and page design to industry members. Lynne has also co-authored two industry books and multiple publication articles. She has been with RR Donnelley for 13 years in various prepress, color management, business development and marketing roles.

As the Variable Color Market Manager, Lynne is responsible for programs that integrate variable digital printing with both sheetfed ink and high-speed rolled inkjet equipment, most specifically the proprietary NovaColorSM imaging solutions program for 600 and 1200 dpi high-speed color.

Mike Badour

Mike has over 20 years of successful business building experience across multiple corporate landscapes — domestic and international, and small businesses to large corporations. Currently, Mike leads Canada Post’s Transaction Mail Product Development and Product Management group, overseeing a portfolio of mature and emerging products and services with total annual revenues of over $3 billion.
Mike has held several leadership positions over the course of his 7 years at Canada Post. Prior to joining Canada Post. Mike owned and managed a number of small businesses and established The Canadian Footprint for a world leading computer reseller.

Alexandre has 22 years of experience and diverse knowledge on electronic printing arena. Early 2007 leading the TransPromo implementation based on international relationship in all four continents, member of global users groups joined a relevant and unique know how on the best practices all over the world. He visited various countries in the past 20 months getting all information from end-users, vendors, postal services, case studies, todo’s and nottdo’s list of the digital color wave named TransPromo. In Brazil, responsible for launching the pioneers TransPromo customers of high volume of credit cards, banks, telco’s and insurance corporations.

Arthur Berrill
VP of Advanced Concepts and Technology, Pitney Bowes

Arthur spent 25 years managing the architecture, design and development of large spatial software systems for Wild Heerbrugg, Prime Computer, Computervision, Unisys and MapInfo then decided to get a life and started MapInfo’s Research Department. That department was morphed into the Advanced Development Department when it was established that useful research was even more effective when it was illustrated with prototypes. After MapInfo was acquired by Pitney Bowes, Arthur took over AC&T for Piteny Bowes. In almost 30 years, Arthur has never left a job (forcibly or voluntarily), has had a grand total of 5 bosses and has worked in 7 different countries.

He led development of WildMap, SYSTEM 9, SpatialWare, many of MapInfo’s products and is now involved in all the future offerings of Pitney Bowes.

Arthur is never happier than when confronted with an intractable problem (especially if is mathematical, computer related or spatial in nature) and never more despondent than when confronted with intractable people. He believes there can never be enough whiteboards.

Arthur’s interests include the effective use of databases in spatial systems, user interface innovation, complex software systems architecture, power tools and the use of violence as a management tool.

John Blossom
President, Shore Communications Inc.

John Blossom's career spans more than twenty years of marketing, research, product management and development in advanced information and media venues, including major financial publishers and financial services companies (Citicorp, Quotron and for Reuters Holdings PLC), as well as earlier experience in broadcast media and advertising. Blossom founded Shore Communications Inc. in 1997, specializing in research and advisory services and strategic marketing consulting for publishers and consumers of content services. Mr. Blossom’s engagements have included strategic marketing consulting for major corporations and startups that are using the Internet to position themselves in new and existing content markets.
Shore's research, news analysis and weblogs, including major contributions from Mr. Blossom, have been recognized widely as leading sources of authoritative insights into the content industry, receiving top industry awards including the EContent Magazine 100, the Software and Information Industry Association CoDIE award for Best Media Blog and a Top Ten Analyst recognition from Technobabble 2.0.

Guy Broadhurst
Vice President, Product Marketing,Océ North America, Production Printing Systems

Guy Broadhurst has worked in printing systems technology for over 25 years. He joined Siemens Nixdorf Printing Systems in 1986 before Océ acquired it. Later, Broadhurst helped pioneer Océ’s Print On Demand initiative. His strong expertise includes commercial application development and unique print media, and he was involved in achieving companywide ISO 9000 certification. Today, Broadhurst directs strategic planning, marketing and sales support for all commercial printing systems, software, media development, and pre- and post-processing alliances. He stays heavily involved in market and customer research to identify market trends and issues. He is a regular conference speaker and industry columnist.

Hamilton Terni Costa
President, AN Consulting

Brazilian, MBA, 35 years in the printing industry, he has managed national and international companies like Quebecor World in Mexico and Brazil and has also managed industry associations in Latin America. Today Hamilton manages AN Consulting, where he develops projects in the graphic communication market. He is also responsible for coordinating PODi in the region and NPES representation.
He is a frequent speaker in the main industry events all over America and has dozens of articles published in the Americas and Europe.
He coordinates a MBA program called “The Innovative Management for Printing Companies” in the Printing College Theobaldo DeNigris, SENAI School in So Paulo, Brazil.

Luis Del Corral
New Business Development, Cadena S.A.

Electronics Engineer and MBA began his career as a technical supervisor in a Photo Lab Company, and as external teacher for Eafit College. Then he founded Compugraf, a start-up pre-press Company, which was the first one using digital technology for computer to film output and the first one offering variable digital printing in Colombia. This Company was merged later with CADENA S.A. a traditional Commercial Printing Company, transformed today into the largest transactional printing Company in Colombia. CADENA’s headquarters are located in Medellin, with digital printing facilities in the six largest cities in Colombia.

Purushottam is an undergraduate student in Printing Engineering from India. He worked as an Assistant Production Manager with Times Group, the worlds largest selling English Newspaper. Jeffrey DeVoyd
VP, Technology & Product Marketing, GMC Software Technology

Jeffrey DeVoyd is Vice President, Technology & Product Marketing for GMC Software Technology. He joined GMC in 1997 with the establishment of the US subsidiary operation. During his tenure with GMC, he has held various management positions in technical support, pre-sales, development, product training and product management. Prior to GMC, he provided printer hardware support and training for Nipson USA. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He has presented at numerous industry events, including Xplor, On Demand/AIIM, and Graphics of Americas.

Scott Draeger, edp

Scott Draeger joined the digital document industry in 1997, after earning a BA from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Before becoming the Product Manger for Dialogue, he spent 10 years in the Document Composition industry as both a service provider and a software vendor. He obtained his EDP certification from Xplor in 2003 and his MBA in 2007 from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Scott’s TransPromo experience includes; upgrading Fortune 500 statement applications, creating full color digital print campaigns, bringing TransPromo to credit card carriers and improving total compensation applications.

Jim Gabalski
Director of Strategy Services, Emerge Partners

Jim combines 20 years of technical development, sales, marketing, and management experience. He brings that depth of understanding to clients and helps them tackle some of their most difficult strategic challenges. Prior to Emerge Partners, Jim held positions as Vice President of CRM and Interactive Services for a top New York Advertising Agency, Director of Sales for an Interactive Services firm, General Manager of a division of Ziff-Davis, and National Sales Manager for Ziff-Davis Education’s publishing group. Jim has been part of the Emerge team for over four years and has leveraged his experiences with clients such as Absolut Vodka and Jim Beam.

Ron Gilboa

Ron Gilboa is responsible for Worldwide Product Marketing for Kodak Graphic Communications Group. Ron came to the role after serving as Vice President of Marketing at Kodak GCG Inkjet Printing Solutions recognized worldwide for its innovative Inkjet printing solutions in its Versamark product portfolio. Kodak color printing systems revolutionized Transaction printing by enabling cost effective, production level color TransPromo printing for the masses. Ron is well known in the print industry as a consultant with InfoTrends/CAP Ventures where he served as director for the company's Print On Demand Printing and Publishing Consulting Service. He has over 16 years of corporate and user experience in graphic arts and electronic imaging and technical expertise in digital prepress and job workflow. Prior to an 8-year career
with CAPV, Ron held product management and product marketing positions at Scitex America Corporation.

Bernie Gracy
Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, Pitney Bowes

Bernie Gracy is the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies. He most recently served as the Vice President of Global Strategy, Product Management and Marketing for Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software. In his 10th year at Pitney Bowes, Bernie has served in other general management and leadership positions in M&A, Professional Services, Business Development, and Software/Systems engineering.

Bernie conceived DMT's Customer Communications Management framework and has played an integral role in building out the software strategy as well as the successful acquisition and integration of Group 1 Software in 2004, Emtex in 2006, and MapInfo in 2007. Bernie has a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut, an MS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and will complete his MS in e-Commerce from the University of Maryland in 2008.

Joel Jira

Joel has over twenty years experience in the digital printing industry. While working for Xerox he developed innovative print and mail solutions for Progressive Insurance, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Cleveland Clinic and Goodyear. As Director of Digital Printing Solutions, for Ikon, he spearheaded the launch of direct mail solutions for the Printing Services Organization across the country.
Joel has helped launch both highlight and full color printing for transaction-based print, providing unique solutions to combine documents at the time of print. Creating joint ventures with solutions and finishing companies, Joel has created industry-leading solutions, bringing technology to the forefront of business

Cheryl Kananowicz
Vice President, Sales & Corporate Communications,DST Output

Cheryl oversees the development of large business opportunities in the financial services, healthcare and insurance vertical markets in addition to Sales Support, Corporate Communications and Direct Marketing. She has been with DST Output 15 years in various positions in Marketing, Client Services & Systems, and Sales Support. Prior to joining DST Output, she held various positions for Bank of Boston and Newfield Publications.

Kevin Klein
Director Production Intelligence Consulting, Pitney Bowes Emtex

Kevin Klein is presently Director of Production Intelligence Consulting for the Emtex Division of Pitney Bowes. He has been with Pitney Bowes since 2000 and served in product management and marketing roles before his current assignment. Prior to joining Pitney Bowes Kevin spent 22 years with Westing House Electric, General Electric and Emerson Electric. Kevin graduated from the University of Buffalo with a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology. He is a frequent speaker within the mailing industry and is currently engaged in consulting activities relating to the facilitation of TransPromo within the production environment.

Aart Knyff
Executive Vice President of Operations, Cathedral Corporation

Aart began his career with Cathedral Corporation in 1994 as the Operations Manager for the Lincoln, RI facility. He became Lincoln's General Manager in 1997, was named Vice President of Technology in 1999 and Executive Vice President of Operations in 2007. Prior to Cathedral, he held positions in both operations and sales for AMS, Data Base Marketing and Laser Image Technology. Aart is well versed in the technologies of Pitney Bowes, Bell and Howell, IBM and Xerox. He is a member of the Providence USPS Customer Council.

Mike Logan
Vice President, Business Development Business Communications, RR Donnelley

Michael Logan is currently Vice President, Business Development for the Business Communication Services (“BCS”) division of RR Donnelley.

Mr. Logan’s national responsibilities include managing the sales strategy and direction of the BCS operating division as well as serving as an executive sponsor for the sales efforts associated with strategic accounts, including price and contract negotiations. Michael’s organization includes a team of individuals that provide product development, color imaging strategies, and support to the business capture efforts associated with strategic accounts.

Michael has over twenty (20) years of sales and marketing experience, including sixteen (17) years of sales and marketing experience in the client communications industry. Michael has a B.S. in Business Management and Economics from DeSales University. Michael is also a graduate of the Project Management Institute.

The Business Communication Services unit of R.R. Donnelley produces custom transaction print solutions in both paper based and digital formats. Services include project management, software development, and the printing, imaging and mailing services to produce financial, insurance and telecommunication client reports and statements.

Mike May
Director New Ventures, Imagitas

Mike is an accomplished marketing and business development professional with extensive experience in database marketing. At Imagitas, Mike is focused on identifying and launching ‘life event’ advertising platforms. These new platforms expand upon their thirteen year relationship with the United States Postal Service and the Movers Source solution which has an annual print distribution of 100 million. Location Intelligent TransPromo is one of these new platforms and represents a significant opportunity for offsetting print costs through internal and external advertising.

Mike started his career at Procter & Gamble and spent nearly ten years in their customer business development and direct to consumer organization. In the late nineties, he joined Excite@Home, and through the MatchLogic division, ran large client database engagements including: AT&T; Excite.com; Vanguard; and P&G. After MatchLogic, Mike worked for Fair Isaac Corporation and was responsible for the Consumer Packaged Goods vertical, expanding their customer base during his tenure to include ConAgra Foods, M&M Mars, and Orange Glo. Prior to joining Imagitas (subsidiary of Pitney Bowes), Mike worked in the telecommunication space for Intrado Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas H. Lee. There he developed and implemented the global product and sales strategy for mobility solutions which include Text Message Marketing and Spam Filtering applications. Mike has a BS in Marketing from the University of Colorado, and currently resides in Reading, Massachusetts with his wife and three kids.

Pat McGrew, EDP
Data Center & Transaction Segment Evangelist, Eastman Kodak Company

P.C. (Pat) McGrew, EDP is the Data Center & Transaction Segment Evangelist in the Graphic Communications Group at Eastman Kodak working worldwide to support the needs of customers involved in high-speed, data-driven customer communication. As the evangelist for TransPromo, integrated customer communication and education, and other effective customer communication techniques she also works with the data-printing industry and with Kodak product groups and regions supporting solutions to enhance customer success. She is the co-author of 7 books covering information and multi-channel document delivery, and the author of research studies and articles covering business continuity, disaster recovery, print-and-mail innovations, compliance issues, document strategy auditing, and the worldwide statement printing markets.


Don McKenzie
President & CEO, Direct Group

Don McKenzie has more than 20 years of management experience in strategic planning, corporate re-engineering, operations, leadership development and mergers and acquisitions. He is widely known as an accomplished leader and visionary in the field of direct marketing, having served in top management roles for a number of direct marketing services companies and the industry’s leading investment bank.
In September 2006, Mr. McKenzie became President & CEO of Direct Group, a fully integrated direct marketing solutions provider. In this role, he is leading directives to build one of the most comprehensive, client-centric direct marketing services platforms in the industry. Direct Group is a $100 million company with corporate offices and three operating facilities – which include one of the world’s largest-volume, single-site commercial mailing operations – in New Jersey, as well as a sales and customer service facility in Maryland. The company employs 1,100 people and processes more than 1.5 billion mail pieces each year.

Prior to joining Direct Group, Mr. McKenzie was President & CEO of Petsky Prunier LLC, the direct marketing industry’s leading investment banking firm. Before that, he held top management posts at several direct marketing companies, including President of Transcontinental Direct U.S.A. (formerly CC3), where he grew the company’s revenue from $60 million to $260 million while driving outstanding profitability. Mr. McKenzie managed the sale of CC3 to Providence Equity Partners under highly favorable transaction terms, then again spearheaded the sale of that business to Canadian printing giant Transcontinental Inc. in 2003. Mr. McKenzie has also held positions at Shopwise.com, the online division of ADVO Inc., and at SuperCoups, among others.

Throughout his career, Mr. McKenzie has actively participated in industry trade associations, authoring dozens of articles and speaking at numerous trade and analyst conferences. In October 2006, he was appointed to the Direct Marketing Association’s Board of Directors for a three-year term. He is a former member of the DMA Financial Services Council, as well as PostCom’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He also was a founding member of the Saturation Mailers Coalition.

Dr. René Müeller
President & CEO, GMC Software Technology

Dr. René Müeller is president and CEO of GMC Software Technology, which he founded in 1994. Dr. Mueller holds a PhD in Physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, and an MBA from IMD International in Lausanne, Switzerland. His professional experience includes a strong background in research, including fuel cells research with ABB Brown-Boveri, Baden, Switzerland, and Low Temperature Physics with IBM. His management background includes several years as a management consultant with Bain & Co. in London and Munich, and later as a freelance turnaround specialist. Since 1994, he has led the worldwide team at GMC Software Technology.

David Murphy
Vice President of Marketing , RISO, Inc.

RISO manufactures and sells the HC5500, the fastest cut-sheet full color inkjet printer on the market, as well as high-speed spot digital duplicators. Prior to his present role as RISO’s Vice President of Marketing, David Murphy has held several sales and marketing positions with the company for the last 16 years. Currently, David is responsible for the entire scope of product marketing for North America. He holds an MBA and a BS degree in marketing and has conducted field research on user applications for ink-based printing systems in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Kelli Nesseth
Senior Marketing Manager, GE Money

Kelli Nesseth is a Senior Marketing Manager at GE Money responsible for Statement and Promotion Architecture.

Kelli attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with a B.A. degree in finance 1988. Her career began at GE Consumer Finance on the Management Development Program and she completed assignments in Dallas, Texas, Anaheim, California and Stamford, Connecticut. Her first roles after completing the program were Manager of Finance and Client Services Manager.

In 1994, Kelli built the Exxon Card Services customer service organization, a 24 hour-a-day 7 day-a-week call center receiving over three million calls annually. Her next assignment was Portfolio Underwriting Manager for $430 million, multi-client, credit card portfolio. She was responsible for pricing, profitability analysis and monitoring new and existing transactions. Kelli was selected as one of the first black belts in Consumer Finance and became certified in 2000. After certification, Kelli joined the Business Credit Services team and served as Strategic Initiatives Manager and Manager of Client Integrations.

She completed the M.B.A. program at the Gouizeta Business School of Emory University in 2001. Kelli has been leading the Statement Architecture team since 2006, building statements for new clients and developing billing statements as a marketing channel.

Christopher Nicholson
Director of Strategic Communications, Humana

Christopher J. Nicholson is Director of Strategic Communications for Humana, one of the largest health plans in the US. His background in telecommunications, retail and healthcare has positioned him well for integrating technology and marketing strategies.
Communications initiatives developed by his team have been recognized in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.com. In addition, Nicholson’s won several awards for the Smart Summary and Smart Summary Rx — health finance statements for Medicare and Commercial members. These Awards include the American Business Award, “The Stevie.” Most recently the team was recognized for with an Outstanding Achievement Award at Consumer Health World.
He has been a proponent for information sharing throughout the industry, understanding consumer needs to, “give our members the tools and information they need so that they can make intelligent decisions about the health.”

Jennifer Pennington
Paper Scientist, Eastman Kodak Company

Jennifer Pennington is a paper scientist for Kodak’s Inkjet Printing Solutions Division located in Dayton, Ohio. She is a graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Paper Science and Engineering. Prior to joining Kodak in 2004, she worked for Georgia Pacific where she focused on product development, quality control, and lean manufacturing. Jennifer works extensively with paper companies around the world to develop papers for Kodak’s Inkjet Printing Solutions portfolio of products. She will be graduating with her Masters in Business in December 2008 from the University of Dayton.

Andy Plata & Julie Plata
GCW and COPI, Outputlinks.com

Andy Plata and Julie Plata own OutputLinks, Graphic Communications World and COPI. The two document technology experts have combined experience of more than 50 years in the HVTO industry.
The Platas fund a number of Industry Recognition, Awards and Scholarship Programs and have served as advisors to many of the major vendors and users in the output. The business and technology press frequently write about the couples’ business achievements they are frequent speakers on technology, management and entrepreneurial topics.
Andy and Julie maintain homes in Toronto and Houston and are the proud parents of four children and one beautiful granddaughter.

Jon Reske
Vice President of Marketing, UmassFIVE College Federal Credit Union

I hold an MBA from Wake Forrest and have been a marketing professional for 25 years. Have worked in brand management for several fortune 500 package goods companies and owned my own strategic planning consulting firm before settle into the credit union industry 11 years ago. I have been the Vice President of Marketing for UMass Five College Credit Union since 1996. I am responsible for all marketing and business development for the credit union as well as our Financial Investment Services Company. I am also involved with a credit union international outreach program assisting credit unions and their trade association in the country of Azerbaijan. In this capacity I have coordinated work study programs here in the US and will be going to Azerbaijan in May to work with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to strengthen the credit union movement there.

Walter B. Riddock
 CMDSM, EDP, EMCM, Vice President, Fidelity National Output Solutions

Walter B. Riddock, CMDSM, EDP, EMCM is Vice President, Fidelity National Output Solutions, a division of Fidelity Integrated Financial Solutions (FIS), located in St. Petersburg, Florida. Walter joined Equifax in 1997, which was later spun off to create Certegy that has now merged with Fidelity Integrated Financial Solutions. During the last 11 years he has combined innovation and technology to implement numerous improvements and has reorganized operations to focus on the “process” of letters, statements and plastic cards mailed to consumers, clients, customers, and Cardholders.

Walter began his professional career working for a Consulting Engineering firm in New York City for 7 years.

Prior to his present job he worked at American Express Company, where he held various management positions during his 20 years there. However, over 14 years of his career there has been involved with the Plastic Card processing, and Printing and Mailing environment, and in his last position he led Business Reengineering initiatives. While at American Express, Walter received numerous awards for his innovation and creativity in solving business issues and for reengineering business processes, including several CHAIRMAN’S AWARD FOR QUALITY, and multiple QUALITY PARTNERSHIP awards. In 1994, he was awarded THE MAIL CENTER MANAGER OF THE YEAR AWARD by the United States Postal Service.

Now at Fidelity National Output Solutions, Walter continues to receive awards. He received the MAILING INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP AWARD presented by the USPS. In 1999, at the National Postal Forum the USPS presented him with the Pathfinder Award for his innovated use of the PostalOne! System.

Recognized as a leader in the mailing industry, he is one of the charter members of the National Postal Policy Council founded in 1981. He has also spoken at many conferences and leadership forums, including the TransPromo Summit, National Postal Forum, MailCom, The Financial Communications Forum, Pitney Bowes Leadership Conferences, XPLOR, and Oce Open House in Munich, Germany, as well as Dialogue User Conferences. Walter has been a leader in several advisory councils, and professional and business organizations, including his current position as Chairman of the Dialogue Users Group.

Walter has received his MBA from Nova University, and also a MMQT (Masters in the Management of Quality and Technology) from Nova Southeastern University.

Mike Salfity
VPGM, Workflow Business Unit, Xerox

Mike Salfity joined Xerox in 1984 and has held a number of design and system engineering, program management, and technical staff positions. Mike has been involved with the Freeflow platform since 2001. His most recent assignment was VP, Platform Development for Workflow. Currently, Mike is Vice President of the Workflow Business Unit for Xerox Corporation’s Production Systems Group (PSG). He was appointed to this position in July of 2005. PSG has worldwide responsibility for production monochrome and color systems for the publishing and transaction printing environments, including the DocuTech, DocuPrint and DocuColor product lines.

Mike earned a BSEE in System Design from Cal State at Long Beach and an MBA from the University of Southern California, as well as a Computer Engineering program at UCLA. Also, Mike’s family has been in the printing industry for more than 50 years, he grew up changing ink and paper, burning plates, type setting, etc. , Mike is still active in the printing community in Los Angeles.

Carl Salz

Carl Salz, MBA and Ph.D. candidate, is a Project Manager at Janus Capital Group in Denver, Colorado. His role over the last four years is leading and facilitating the collaboration of stakeholders internal and external to the organization in order to deliver client communications. Prior to Janus, his previous role as a project manager focused on client communication in the financial industry. Adrienne Valentine

Adrienne Valentine began her career with Hartford Life in 1994. She has held various but most recently is responsible for Individual Annuity Communication Delivery. This team is responsible for coordinating all client communications including financial confirms, prospectuses and contracts. Additionally, Adrienne manages a Portfolio of Strategic projects. She and her team continue to implement best practices in the Individual Annuity space and working with their partners across line of business to gain efficiencies where similar processes exist.
