Speaker Biographies:

Fernando Alperowitch, Sales Manager, Hewlett-Packard Company
Fernando has occupied positions of great value and importance within the organization. He has developed activities such as the area of marketing for Graphical Arts, sales for Consumable and most recently he was in charge of Business Development for clients. He was responsible for helping clients to increase their volumes of impression to be a greater success. He was transferred to Miami, where he leads the direction of sales for digital presses Indigo for Latin America. Fernando Alperowitch speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish and has an MBA from the University of California. He is originally from Sao Paulo Brazil and has studies in Administration of Companies in the Getulio Foundation Vargas. Before entering in Hewlett-Packard, Fernando was responsible for the division of Business development and innovation in DuPont South America. After having undertaken in his proper business he has been there fore more than 6 years.

Joseph Barber, Chief QR Officer, CodeZ QR a Division of COPI
As the Chief QR Officer at CodeZ QR, Joe Barber is the recognized authority on quick response codes as a 1to1 document launch point to the mobile web. Mr. Barber assists corporations in developing transpromo and related one-to-one communications strategies based on QR codes. Joe is often quoted or asked to write or speak about his experiences with 1to1 QR codes for document web enablement, cost reduction, document consolidation and enhanced customer communication.

Larry Beasley, Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Planning, Cathedral Corporation
Larry has a diverse background, working in sales and marketing management, as well as management in quality assurance and regulatory affairs. He has worked in leadership positions with such companies as NCR Corporation, Dalcon Computer Systems (an INC. 500 company) and BlueCross BlueShield. Larry holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Middle Tennessee State University, and is a member of the Academy of Healthcare Professionals and the American Society for Quality Control.

Guy Broadhurst, Vice President, New Technologies & Client Development, Océ North America
Guy Broadhurst has worked in digital printing technology for over 25 years. At Océ North America, Guy is responsible for planning and directing development, launch, positioning, marketing, and sales support for all digital printing systems, document and workflow management software, media development, and pre- and post-processing and finishing alliances. He stays actively engaged in market and customer research to study market trends like TransPromo and the issues and opportunities they present to customers. Guy is a popular conference speaker and columnist. As a recognized industry expert, his monthly column, The Broadhurst Report is featured on the industry website Output Links.com.

Mike Bryant, Marketing Analytics Practice Leader , InfoPrint Solutions Company
Michael Bryant is a key member of InfoPrint Solutions TransPromo consulting practice. His expertise in Marketing Analytics provides customers with insight and knowledge on how to best leverage their data to deliver top line strategies and results. Before joining InfoPrint Solutions, Mr. Bryant held several key positions within the financial service industry including institutions such as Metris Companies (HSBC), Wachovia and the John Harland Company.
Mr. Bryant holds a Masters in Business Administration from Mercer University and a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Management Information Systems from St. Cloud State University.

Jerry Cerasale, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs, Direct Marketing Association
Jerry joined The DAM in January 1995, as Senior Vice President, Government Affairs. He is in charge of The DMA’s contact with the Congress, all federal agencies and state and local governments. He has testified before Congress on numerous occasions on postal and privacy matters. In addition he has testified before both the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission on direct marketing matters. Prior to joining The DMA he was Deputy General Counsel for the Committee on Post Office and Civil Service, United States House of Representatives. He served for 12 years at the Postal Rate Commission as Legal Advisor to Chairman Steiger and most recently as Special Assistant to the Commission. He was an attorney advisor to Federal Trade Commission Chairman Steiger. Prior to the PRC he was employed in the Law Department of the Postal Service. He received his B.A. in Government and Economics from Wesleyan University, Middletown Connecticut and his J.D. from the University Of Virginia School Of Law. He served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1972.
He is a Vice Chair of the Postal Matters Subsection of the Administrative Law and Regulatory Protection Section of the American Bar Association. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Mailers Council. He was a member of the Federal Trade Commission Advisory Committee on On-Line Access and Security.

William Chan, Billing Manager, Broadview Network
William joined the company as Billing Manager in 2204, bringing over 10 years of billing management experience in the Telecom Industry. He’s responsible for all retail & wholesale billing production and operations.
Prior to joining Broadview in 2004, he served as Billing Manager for NTT (North American division of Japan national carrier, Nippon Telephone & Telegraph), where he managed their global billing and invoices operations. Before joining NTTA, William pent over 9 years in various management roles in both Billing and IT for Covista Communications. William holds a masters degree in Telecommunication with a minor in Computer Science from Pace University.
 

Nadia Darwish, Vice President, Client Relationships and Education Services, Sun Life Financial
Nadia leads the Sun Life Financial Group Retirement Services’ team of client relationship executives and education services teams across Canada. She builds the vision and strategy that creates a superior experience for Sun Life Financial plan sponsors and their plan members that further differentiates Sun Life Financial as a leader in the DC industry.
Nadia brings to this role over 16 years of rich industry experience both in Defined Benefit as well as Defined Contribution pension plan arenas. Specializing in client relationship management, product development, research, and investment accounting.
Prior to joining Sun Life in 1999 Nadia held many different management and client relationship positions with leading financial institutions including State Street Trust Company of Canada and Canada Trust.
Nadia achieved her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario. Committed to the future of the pension industry, Nadia is a member of the Canadian Pensions and Benefits Institute (CPBI) as well as active member of the Association of Canadian Pension Management (ACPM) and a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences.

Hynde Fonseca Neto, Account Project Manager, Bradesco
Graduated in Business Administration and Computer Science, post graduate in Marketing, has 18 years of experience in the management of financial products and services. At Bradesco for 6 years, he is responsible for managing the products of the Current Account, statements, and also rates and products for targeted public (University Accounts ).
Hynde was responsible for deployment of the first statement in Braille in Brazil, checks on recycled paper of security and the TransPromo application to transactional documents for Bradesco.

Jim Hamilton, Group Director, InfoTrends
Jim Hamilton is Group Director of InfoTrends’ On Demand Printing & Publishing, Jetting Technology Opportunities, and Wide Format Printing Consulting Services. Mr. Hamilton is responsible for conducting graphic arts market research, providing forecast analysis, supporting the consulting service and custom consulting clients, and creating editorial content for product and market analysis reports. Mr. Hamilton has been involved in the graphic arts and publishing industries since 1980, and has been a member of InfoTrends’ On Demand Printing & Publishing Consulting Service since 1995. Mr. Hamilton was the Editor of InfoTrends' book entitled "The Print On Demand Opportunity." Prior to joining InfoTrends, Mr. Hamilton worked at Linotype-Hell as an Applications Analyst and Author of the company's Technical Information Series. He also worked as a freelance graphic designer in the textbook publishing industry. He has an M.S. Degree in Printing Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) and a B.A. Degree in German from Amherst College.


Richard Hoffman, VP of Technical and Operations, OSG Billing Services

Richard Hoffman is the vice president of technical and operations for OSG Billing Services. He brings over eleven years of expertise in corporate finance and technical operations to the company.
Hoffman is responsible for the tactical planning and development of new technologies at the company along with supervising the day-to-day operations. He has established innovative methods and processes at the company that continue to ensure the company’s commitment to quality and efficiency.
Prior to joining OSG Billing Services, Hoffman worked as manager of financial planning at the MTV Networks. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing the budgeting of capital and expenses along with establishing and implementing financial strategies. Hoffman’s career history also encompasses work as a cost accountant at Atlas Air and includes an extensive background in public accounting. Hoffman holds an MBA in finance and operations from Lehigh University, and a BA in economics from Clark University. He is an active member of Xplor International.

Steve Keca, Director of Product Development, Business Communication Svcs, RR Donnelley
Steve Keca is the Director of Product Development for RR Donnelley’s BCS transactional print outsourcing group. Steve is a 15 year veteran of the digital print industry, including print on demand and high volume transactional output. Kevin Klein, Director Production Intelligence Consulting, Pitney Bowes
Kevin joined Pitney Bowes in 2000 after a 22 year career with Westinghouse Electric, General Electric and Emerson Electric holding positions in engineering, operations and marketing. Kevin joined Pitney Bowes to start up the automated document factory business. As Pitney Bowes started to acquire businesses with customer intelligence solutions Kevin broadened his attention to transactional mail content and the value add technique of TransPromo. Kevin graduated from the State University of New York College at Buffalo with a BS in Industrial Technology

Alan Kraft, President, Media Horizons Management
Alan founded Media Horizons, Inc. in 1988. Alan’s thorough understanding and extensive knowledge of the direct marketing industry, combined with his keen insight and dedicated and superior staff enabled Media Horizons to expand from a staff of two to over forty direct marketing professionals. Alan now heads Media Horizons Management which represents the insert media programs of such blue chip direct marketers as Barnes&Noble.com, Charming Shoppes, Redcats USA and Rodale.

Danny Mertens, Business Development Manager Document Printing, Xeikon (by Punch Graphix)
I joined Xeikon in 1996 on the verge of digital printing. Currently worldwide responsible for the market development and sales support in high volume variable data printing. Focusing in on TransPromo, transactional and direct marketing applications. I hold a Master’s degree in engineering. I’m based in the Punch Graphix corporate headquarters in Lier Belgium.

Pat McGrew, Data-Driven Communication Evangelist, Eastman Kodak Company
P.C. (Pat) McGrew, EDP is the Data-driven Communication Evangelist in the Business to Business Solutions Group at Eastman Kodak working worldwide to support the needs of customers involved in data-driven customer communication. As the evangelist for TransPromo, integrated customer communication and education, and other effective customer communication techniques she also works with the data-printing industry and with Kodak product groups and regions supporting solutions to enhance customer success. She is the co-author of 7 books covering information and multi-channel document delivery, and the author of research studies and articles covering business continuity, disaster recovery, print-and-mail innovations, compliance issues, document strategy auditing, and the worldwide statement printing markets. Don McKenzie, President and CEO, Direct Group
As President and CEO of Direct Group, Don McKenzie has built one of the most comprehensive, full-service, client-centric direct marketing services platforms in the industry. Under his leadership, the company has made significant strides in the areas of total quality management certification, employee training, Six Sigma programs and environmental responsibility. His accomplishments at Direct Group include the successful acquisition and integration of database marketing company EMSi, the investment in digital printing technology and equipment, and the creation of the most advanced and comprehensive full-service direct marketing campus in North America. McKenzie also serves on the Board of Directors for the Direct Marketing Association.

Debbie Miglaw, Director, Product Management, DST Output
Debbie Miglaw, Director, Product Management for DST Output, has been with the company since June 1998. She is responsible for defining and executing product vision and strategy, managing the roadmap process, pricing, product rollout, and managing product profitability. Her team shapes the standard product offerings, determines new features and services to recommend to customers, and influences the product marketing communications plan. Ms. Miglaw holds a Masters of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis.

David Murphy, Vice President of Marketing, RISO, Inc.
David Murphy is the Vice President of Marketing for RISO, Inc, and has served in a variety of sales and marketing roles for the company over the last 17 years. RISO manufactures and sells the ComColor series of inkjet printers, the fastest cut-sheet full color inkjet printers on the market. David is responsible for the entire scope of product marketing for North America. He holds an MBA and a BS degree in marketing and has conducted field research on user applications for ink-based printing systems in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Christopher Nicholson, Director of Strategic Communications, Humana
Christopher J. Nicholson is Director of Strategic Communications for Humana, one of the largest health plans in the US.  His background in telecommunications, retail and healthcare has positioned him well for integrating technology and marketing strategies. 
Communications initiatives developed by his team have been recognized in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.com.  In addition, Nicholson’s won several awards for the SmartSummary and SmartSummary Rx – health finance statements for Medicare and Commercial members.  These Awards include the American Business Award, “The Stevie.”  Most recently the team was recognized with an Outstanding Achievement Award at Consumer Health World. 
Earlier this year, Nicholson was featured in Insurance and Technology Magazine for his work in creating best-in-class personalized communications for the insurance industry. 
He has developed a model within the business to leverage the vast data and informational assets about Humana’s membership to drive complexity out of member communications.  His team has spent a significant amount of time interviewing and surveying members to learn about how they manage their health and health finances.  The result was understandable and actionable communications that are specific to the member.  Most importantly the goal of this increased personalization is to improve the consumer experience with a goal of having emotionally engaged consumers. 
The net result is a new communications strategy for the insurance industry that effectively capitalizes on the getting the right message to the right members at the right time.  This strategy allows Humana to drive behavior change and consolidate unnecessary communications to positively grow member knowledge and understanding while at the same time helping retain and grow membership. 
He has been a proponent for information sharing throughout the industry, understanding consumer needs to, “give our members the tools and information they need so that they can make intelligent decisions about the health.” 
He has an MBA from the University of Louisville’s top rated Entrepreneurial MBA program and currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky.  

Michael O’Leary, Director, InfoTrends
Michael O'Leary is Director of InfoTrends’ Document Outsourcing Consulting Services. A document and technology services veteran with over 24 years of leadership experience in the areas of document management, enterprise print, and information technology services, Mr. O'Leary is responsible for providing marketing, technical, and consulting services to outsourcing providers, technology service providers, commercial printers, quick printers, and in-plant operations.
Mr. O’Leary has extensive experience providing strategic consulting and services to Fortune 1000 companies. Before joining InfoTrends, he was the Director of Professional Services at Pathforward, a strategic business unit of Standard Register. O'Leary and his team consulted with multi-national clients in the area of enterprise print strategy covering office/fleet, production, and commercial print. Prior to his role at PathForward, O'Leary was Market Vice President and Director at Danka Office Imaging, responsible for the company’s U.S. Professional Services business unit, spanning office and production printing solutions. He also managed all business operations for Danka's Great Lakes region. Mr. O’Leary’s previous industry experience also includes positions such as Vice President/General Manager for Xerox Connect (now part of Xerox Global Services) and General Manager of the Xerox Technology Services Group. In addition, he has managed consulting and outsourcing services functions at Digital Equipment Corporation.
Mr. O’Leary holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Boston College with concentrations in math and meteorology. He also completed the executive Competitive Marketing Strategy program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Tom Prendergast, Director of Information Technology & Operations, NEC Financial Services
Tom Prendergast has been with NEC Financial Services since 2000. In this role, he manages and oversees all aspects of information technology, credit, documentation, client services and marketing. Prior to working for NEC, Mr. Prendergast held positions with Bear Stearns and Dow Jones.

Alex Sumarta, Associate Director, InfoTrends
Alex Sumarta is Associate Director for InfoTrends' Production Workflow Solutions and Document Outsourcing Consulting Services. Mr. Sumarta is responsible for conducting primary and secondary market research, developing market sizing forecast estimates, and managing custom consulting projects. He has a strong background in the graphic arts and electronic prepress industries through various positions in technical support, quality assurance, and project management at Total Integration, Inc., a graphic arts software development firm. He has years of experience in software projects delivery and client management. Matt Swain, Senior Research Analyst, InfoTrends
Matt Swain is a Senior Research Analyst for InfoTrends’ TransPromo Service. He is responsible for providing market and forecast analysis, developing content for the service and related projects, covering and reporting on industry conferences and advances in the TransPromo space, and offering ongoing client care and inquiry response.
Mr. Swain first joined InfoTrends as part of the company’s On Demand Printing & Publishing Consulting Service. Prior to joining InfoTrends, he conducted market research for Barb Pellow, provided Print-On-Demand marketing support at the corporate offices of Standard Register, and was employed as an electronic printing lab technician at FLEXcon.
Mr. Swain received a Bachelor of Arts in Imaging and Photographic Technology as well as a Master of Science in Print Media from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His Master’s thesis, entitled “Changes in Media Mix for Leading National Advertisers (2003-2005),” provides the foundation for his insight into current trends in the advertising industry.

Teresa Zwiener, Vice President, Product Management, Output Solutions, CSG Systems
Teresa Zwiener is Vice President of Product Management for CSG Systems’ Output Solutions Business Unit. In this position, Zwiener is responsible for directing product strategy for CSG's document processing services. Zwiener has a tenured career in statement presentment and fulfillment and her experience includes account management and new customer acquisition activities.
Zwiener is a frequent speaker across industries that send electronic and printed documents in support of their customer care and billing applications. Zwiener is a knowledgeable advisor on statement presentment and production processes and related products as well as technology and industry trends.
Zwiener graduated from Creighton University with a degree in Organizational Communications and Marketing. Zwiener lives in Omaha and is a member of Women In Cable & Telecommunications (WICT).
