The mission of the UPU Direct Mail Advisory Board (DMAB) is to "foster the growth of direct mail as a factor of economic and market expansion by increasing market knowledge and by developing the expertise of stakeholders at all levels". It was created in 1995 and reports to the UPU Postal Operations Council.

DMAB members understand the importance of the direct mail medium, and are an integral part of a strategy of global reach for the benefit of all stakeholders.

What unites them is a common interest in fostering the growth of direct mail worldwide.

The activities of the DMAB are financed by the contributions of its members.

FEDMA, the Federation of European Direct and Interactive Marketing, represents the sector in all its forms at European level. PostEurop is the Association of 48 European public postal operators. It was created in 1993 to optimise postal operations and postal services in Europe, and foster greater cooperation between its Members. It is working towards representing the entire European postal industry.

PostEurop is also an officially recognised Restricted Union of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).

PostEurop is governed by the Management Board, which is responsible for supervising and monitoring the implementation of the Association’s strategy at the operational level. PostEurop Headquarters, based in Brussels, is in charge of the daily management of the Association, promoting industry results and performance and implementing strategic activities and projects to stimulate cooperation and innovation. An annual Plenary Assembly for the Members determines the objectives and strategy of the Association.
