Alex Liff


Worldwide Marketing Manager, Retail Photo Solutions, Hewlett-Packard Company
Alex Liff is the worldwide marketing manager in the Retail Photo Solutions group within HP’s Digital Photography and Entertainment global business unit.  The Retail Photo Solutions organization enables retailers to offer their customers in-store digital photo printing and sharing services.
Liff joined HP in1997 and has more than 15 years of marketing, consulting and software development experience in digital imaging, inkjet solutions, LCDs, enterprise software and Intel server technologies.  Most recently, Liff led the marketing and strategy efforts for HP’s Photo Center solutions targeted at traditional, attended photo lab environments.   Prior to his current role, Liff served as the worldwide marketing manager for HP’s Supplies business.
Before joining HP’s printer business, Liff received international experience while working in Europe as the lead product manager for the LCD line of products.  Additionally, he has served as a manufacturing industry consultant and a business development manager for the Intel server based solutions.  Liff also has held several positions in software development as well as IT consulting
Liff has a master’s degree in business administration and a global management certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.  Most recently, Liff completed a Strategic Marketing Management curriculum as part of Stanford’s executive education program.  Liff holds dual bachelor’s degrees of science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Northwestern University.
